Day 30: Power

Her feet walked familiar ground

Solid

Sometimes trudging

Crushing gravel

Salt in her wounds

Some days slipping

Risking falling

Through cracked ice sheets

Mirroring chilly depths

One day she decided to dance

A new beat

Strummed on her hand

Music they both heard

Killing her softly

Changing her two-step

Turning

Spinning

Kissing in Calypso rhythm

A blue night

Breathed its sweetest air

Through the flow of her dress

Parachuting their hearts

Holding hands

Whispering wows on the journey up

Smiling from inside out

Beaming

“I just wanna love you.”

Their feet never again touched

The ground.

FIRE

Franco called Morena his FuckBaby

And FuckDaddy made her quiver

Bound by the cuffs he locked

Blindfolded with his black silk tie

Confined by hands that held her waist

Close enough to feel hearts beating

Outside-in

Pushed to the bed where fires burned

Legs spread like Post-Pangea

Heels, polar opposites

She pleaded for a sexual sentencing

Before he cocked and shot

White liquid bullets

Piercing his FuckBaby’s cries

Then kissed her goodnight
